Overview
Welcome to the Policy on Independence and Freedoms of The Chinyere and Chinelo Ikoku Foundation and of The Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku Foundation. The Alvan Ikoku Foundation hold their independence to be essential to their founding, mission, and purposes, and are furthermore committed to conceptions of freedom and liberties as a set of fundamental, inalienable and often absolute rights.
Therefore, persons engaged in activity within, for, on behalf of, in reference to, and otherwise pertaining to The Alvan Ikoku Foundation are expected to take the time to read the Policy on Independence and Freedoms below carefully.
Your Agreement
— With respect to the Agreement you enter into with The Alvan Ikoku Foundation via the Policy on Independence and Freedoms, you understand and adhere to the following:
And furthermore, by accessing, communicating, engaging, monitoring, transmitting, or otherwise using or visiting, in any way, The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of the divisions, series, subsidiaries, or affiliates, as well as any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of the Products or Services, you accept and agree to the terms, conditions, and requirements described above, and in these Codes and Policies, in their entirety without modification.
Your Consent
— With respect to your ability to agree and consent to the Policy on Independence and Freedoms, you represent and warrant the following:
And furthermore, by accessing, communicating, engaging, monitoring, transmitting, or otherwise using or visiting, in any way, The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of the divisions, series, subsidiaries, or affiliates, as well as any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of the Products or Services, you accept and agree that your consent meets the conditions, principles, and requirements for consent, as delineated and described in a these Codes and Policies — for the specific purpose of consenting to this Policy, the Agreement and the Codes and Policies.
Your Abiding by The Policies
— You represent, warrant, and covenant that, given the above attestation about your consent to the Policy on Independence and Freedoms, you have read, understood, consented to, and agreed to be legally bound by and abide by the Policy on Independence and Freedoms and the Codes and Policies, as they are amended from time to time, and in their entirety without modification.
Your Understanding of Independence
— You represent, warrant, and covenant that, given the above attestation about your consent and adherence to the Policy on Independence and Freedoms, you have also read, understood, consented to, and agreed to be legally bound by and abide by understandings of independence and rights of independence as defined in all applicable guidelines, law, and regulation, by The Alvan Ikoku Foundation in the Codes and Polices and as further delineated below, to be respected and not violated, in any way, by you.
Your Understanding of Freedoms
— You represent, warrant, and covenant that, given the above attestation about your consent and adherence to the Policy on Independence and Freedoms, you have also read, understood, consented to, and agreed to be legally bound by and abide by understandings of freedoms and rights of freedom as defined in all applicable guidelines, law, and regulation, by The Alvan Ikoku Foundation in the Codes and Polices and as further delineated below, to be respected and not violated, in any way, by you.
Your Understanding of Liberties
— You represent, warrant, and covenant that, given the above attestation about your consent and adherence to the Policy on Independence and Freedoms, you have also read, understood, consented to, and agreed to be legally bound by and abide by understandings of liberties and rights of liberty as defined in all applicable guidelines, law, and regulation, by The Alvan Ikoku Foundation in the Codes and Polices and as further delineated below, to be respected and not violated, in any way, by you.
Your Commitment to Understandings
— You also represent, warrant, and covenant that, given the aforementioned attestation, your commitment to this understanding of independence, freedoms, and liberties shall entail the following:
And furthermore, by accessing, communicating, engaging, monitoring, transmitting, or otherwise using or visiting, in any way, The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of the divisions, series, subsidiaries, or affiliates, as well as any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of the Products or Services, you accept and agree to the terms, conditions, and requirements described above, and in these Codes and Policies, in their entirety without modification.
Your Duty to the Policy
— With respect to your duty to the Policy on Independence and Freedoms, you represent and warrant that you understand and shall adhere to such duty by way of the following:
And furthermore, by accessing, communicating, engaging, monitoring, transmitting, or otherwise using or visiting, in any way, The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of the divisions, series, subsidiaries, or affiliates, as well as any areas, offices, parts, sections, or assets or properties of the Products or Services, you accept and agree to the terms, conditions, and requirements described above, and in these Codes and Policies, in their entirety without modification.
Your Accordance with Ethics
— You represent, warrant, and covenant that, given the above attestation about your consent to this Policy, you ensure that your abiding by and adhering to its conditions, policies, principles, requirements, and rights shall further remain in accordance with the Founding and Governing Code of Ethics.
Your Accordance with Mission
— You represent, warrant, and covenant that, given the above attestation about your consent to this Policy, you ensure that your abiding by and adhering to its conditions, policies, principles, requirements, and rights shall further remain in accordance with the founding mission and purposes of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation, without incompatibility, as described and delineated in the Codes and Policies and the Founder’s Declaration of Trust.
Further Considerations
Your Knowledge and Agreement
The Alvan Ikoku Foundation strongly recommend you develop and maintain your knowledge of all the Codes and Policies, and so asks that you read, understand, and regularly visit this section and other communications regarding the Policy on Independence and Freedoms, as well as the Codes and Policies. The Alvan Ikoku Foundation take your continued visiting and use of the Products and Services, including the Sites, as active indication of your knowledge, understanding, and legally binding acceptance of and agreement to this Policy as well as the Codes and Policies.
Your Duty to Corporate Integrity
And you further legally accept and agree that no application, interpretation, judgment, or other compliance, proceeding, or reading from, of, with, or otherwise relating to the Founding Ethics, the Codes and Policies, or any equivalent code, policy, or other document or material shall, in any way, entail any abrogation, diminishment, interference, or violation pertaining to any of the terms, conditions, principles, requirements, rights — including the attendant properties and protections — of corporate and organizational integrity.

Rights of Independence
Provision
Along with the above key principles, the Policy on Independence and Freedoms requires your adherence to correlative rights of independence delineated below.
Of Administration
— that the fundamental rights of independence of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation and the Founder — including the Founder’s independent administration, control, management, operation, ownership, and supervision of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
From Government
— that the fundamental rights of independence of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation from government — including the distinction and separation of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation’s administration, control, management, operation, ownership, properties, products, services, and sites from government activities, entities, offices, and persons — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
From Politics
— that the fundamental rights of independence of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation from politics — including the distinction and separation of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation’s administration, control, management, operation, ownership, properties, products, services, and sites from political activities, entities, and offices — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
From Public
— that the fundamental rights of independence of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation grounded in their private foundation and non-member status — including the defense, protection, and separation of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation’s administration, control, management, operation, ownership, properties, products, services, and sites from collective, common, communal or public control, decision-making, or ownership — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
From Religion
— that the fundamental rights of independence of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation from organized religions — including the distinction and separation of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation’s administration, control, management, operation, ownership, properties, products, services, and sites from faiths other than Sancthụmanism as established, interpreted and administered by the Founder — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
From Supervision and Surveillance
— that the fundamental rights of independence of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation and the Founder from supervision and surveillance — including the defense and protection of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation’s administration, control, management, operation, ownership, properties, products, services, and sites from monitoring, tracking, or other oversight by entities, offices, or persons that are not the Founder of The Alvan Ikoku Foundation or those explicitly appointed and employed by express written instrument signed and sealed of the Founder to conduct such work — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.

Provision
Along with the above key principles, the Policy on Independence and Freedoms requires your adherence to correlative freedoms and liberties delineated below.
A — Of Community
Freedoms of Affiliation
— that the fundamental freedoms of persons to affiliation — including freedoms to affection, family, friendship, marriage, partnership, and relations — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Freedoms of Arts and Culture
— that the fundamental freedoms of persons to arts and culture — including freedoms to artistic and cultural expression, inquiry, practice, and theory — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Freedoms of Association
— that the fundamental freedoms of persons to association — including freedoms to assembly, gathering, participation, and spirituality — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Freedoms of Exchange
— that the fundamental freedoms of persons to exchange — specifically freedoms to consented, legal and respectful communication, ownership, property, and trade — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
B — Of Persons
Freedoms of Autonomy
— that the fundamental freedoms of persons to autonomy — including freedoms to being informed, to freely giving consent, to deciding for own body and life, and to protecting against use of self as means to any end — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Freedoms of Dignity and Integrity
— that the fundamental freedoms of persons to dignity and integrity — including freedoms deriving from capabilities, equanimity, humanity, personhood, and respect — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Freedoms of Examination and Exploration
— that the fundamental freedoms of persons to examination and exploration of the self — as they pertain to mind, body, spirit, surroundings, and society — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Freedoms of Inquiry
— that the fundamental freedoms of persons to inquiry — as they pertain to knowledge and its application — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Freedoms of Mind and Thought
— that the basic, fundamental and natural rights of persons to freedoms of mind, thought and the cognition of the self — including freedoms to thought that entails deliberation, decision-making, reasoning, and other cognitive activities and states of conscience, creativity, emotion, imagination, intellect, mind, psyche, soul, and spirit — be absolute, fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
C — From Communities
Liberties from Communities, Publics, States
— that the fundamental liberties of persons from imposition or intrusion — restricting imposition, intrusion, or violation by communities, professions, publics, and states — be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Liberties of Citizenship
— that the civil liberties of persons due to citizenship and residency be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Liberties of Independence
— that the civil liberties of persons to independence and self-governance be fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
Liberties of Mind and Thought
— that the above rights of persons to freedoms of mind, thought and the cognition of the self also be basic, fundamental and natural liberties of mind, thought, and the cognition of the self — precluding imposition, intrusion, or violation by communities, professions, publics, and states — and that these liberties be absolute, fulfilled, fully enjoyed, protected and neither interfered with nor diminished.
